Been working on Customer Service jobs throughout my college career and I’ve seen this getting more and more traction by large companies. It’s gotten to the point where even if a family member died or you’re going through a depressive episode you’re expected to act like your life is wonderful and your job is wonderful too. That’s not how life works, shit happens, instead of shoving that attitude down your employees throat you should focus on having the resources to help them deal with their stuff.
