There is something satisfying about working in the morning and then having the afternoon off. Just leaving and then looking at the time and imagining all the other suckers staring at the clock or working away is hugely relaxing.

I agree. It makes it easier to spend the rest of the day being productive or even just enjoying not having to be productive. If I have a full day off I’ll spend it being generally irritable and not doing anything witch is not a very fun day.
Not when you have a long commute. You get paid proportionally less for the money you spend to make it to and from work
I disagree with you but I get what you’re saying. I had today off and I slept in and didnt do much until noon. If I worked I would be getting out of work at noon all excited, instead I was groggy from laying around all day.
