Paper straws are more biodegradable, yes. But they require more materials and it’s a long process to make paper straws. I am a huge proponent for doing whatever little part we can do to help the environment, but I don’t think paper straws is the answer.

Why do they make me feel like the @$$ for using a plastic straw and then have the nerve to hand me a plastic cup with a plastic lid and then say “paper straws are next to the plastic ones” do people think sometimes when they speak? Or am I just the @$$ who uses plastic straws?
