You can ban 1 thing in the whole world. What would it be?
Smoking, it’s literally got pretty much 0 benefits, and kills those around you
The fact other substances which are safer then modern cigarettes are illegal while tobacco isn’t is absolutely horrifying (I am a smoker)
The circus peanuts candy
Reality TV shows, you’re welcome.
Untrustworthy media. All media should be impartial, no exceptions. They can theoretically remain in the private sector, but the billionaire owned newspapers that manipulate stories for political gain will be immediately banned from circulation, no questions asked. Journalists caught twisting the truth will be cause for immediate dismissal. Journalists using provocative or opinionated language, such as describing something as ‘ridiculous’ will be questioned duly, and accusative journalism must have clearly cited basis in verifiable fact. Any opinion column or other subjective material must be clearly labelled as such, and must acknowledge that the subject in question is not necessarily being factually observed. Quarterly inquiries into all news outlets will be mandatory and violations will result in proportional fines; unreasonably expensive fines that will actually hurt and will make media chicanery far less economically viable than simply telling the truth.
Once banned newspapers have demonstrated a willingness to conform to the extremely high standards that will be set out, they will be allowed to continue with business.
Quarterly examination of the law will also be necessary to ensure that any loopholes are closed and locked, and any necessary amendments will be immediate priorities and will be effective immediately.
Online media such as Facebook and Twitter will also be strictly policed and must classify as news providers in order to be liable to the same penalties as news outlets, on pain of exclusion from the country.
I am sick of being lied to.
